Laser Grade Testing Sites
NGWA has partnered with PSI / LaserGrade to provide testing sites around New York State for computerized testing.
Paper testing is no longer available in any of the States, however certification is mandatory in New York State. Members are responsible for making their own arrangements for testing. This can be done by logging on to www.lasergrade.com, click on Testing Centers then Find Testing Centers; fill in your Zip Code and under Please Select a Sponsor, scroll down to National Ground Water Association; lastly, click on Find Test Center. A listing of sites within or closest to your area will come up. You are then responsible for contacting the Laser Grade Central office at 1-800-211-2754 to schedule an appointment.
The cost of exams remains the same as when paper exams were being given. For NGWA members, the cost is $75.00 per exam and members must present a copy of their NGWA membership card to get the membership rate. Non member rate is $275.00 for 2 exams and $75.00 for each additional exam. Those taking the exam for State certification only, are responsible for providing the DEC with a copy of their exam scores to show proof of certification.
