DEC’s Division of Water has released a Dry Water Well Reporting Form that can be completed by drillers, pump installers, or water well owners - which is quite timely given the current drought conditions across much of New York State. While the main purpose of the tool is to better understand and evaluate drought conditions, the information we obtain may also assist in future establishment of funding sources for water well owners, which we all know is needed by many.
