The Empire State Water Well Drillers' Association, founded in 1941, is committed to taking a leadership role in protecting our natural resources through the promotion of the ground water industry. The association will strive to support a spirit of cooperation and communication within the industry and between consumers and regulatory agencies.
Annual dues for Drillers, Pump Installers, Manufactures, and Suppliers is $125.00. Currently there are more than 300 contractors/drillers, 53 suppliers/manufactures, and 5 engineers/geologists.
Standing committees of the ESWWDA include: membership, budget, insurance and safety, legislative, education, audit and finance, NEWWA, Public Information, and scholarship.
Association benefits include Continuing Education, NGWA Certification testing, and a Scholarship Program.
The membership consists of water well contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, pump installers, engineers, and hydrogeologists.
There is a quarterly newsletter, Holetalk, a summer program, and certification exams at every function.
ESWWDA supports the public education efforts of The American Ground Water trust.
